Ross Valley Teachers Association
Collective Bargaining Unit for the Educators of the Ross Valley School District.

Ross Valley Educators work best for our students when we work together as a union and community.
During these times, it is more important than ever to stay informed and work collaboratively
so we can all support our local public schools.

If Measure H does not pass, the district will be forced to make significant budget cuts that will forever change our schools, and our community.
Potential cuts include:
-
Closure of two elementary schools
-
Loss of local control — state receivership of the district
-
Significant cuts to the core academic programs

The Ross Valley School District Board of Trustees
voted 4-1 on 2-11-26 to place a revised renewal and increase on the ballot in June. This measure would renew the $742 per parcel tax plus approve an increase of $540 per parcel for a term of 10 years. The $1282 rate would have an annual 3% increase. Exemptions will be offered for residents over 65 years of age and those with disabilities.
Ross Valley has not asked for a parcel tax increase in 30 years. The last time RVSD asked voters for a parcel tax increase was in 1993.
